Rearrangement Collages (2017-present)

Inspired by Josef Albers’s photocollages, rearrangement and reordering assignments from Albers’s and Laszlo Moholy- Nagy’s Vorkurs at the Bauhaus, and in particular by the incredible work of Katrien De Blauwer, which I was first exposed to in the book Stills (IIKKI, 2016), I began making collages based on a simple recombination / rearrangement method. Sources for the images used in these collages includes various books as well as my own silver gelatin prints.

This practice spawned a few related series including Cowboy Collages (2018) and The Little Green Book (2018-present).
