A Restaurant of Objects
The cups and apron shown below were my lead contributions to a restaurant environment that was designed collaboratively with six other students as part of a fourth-semester option studio taught by Laurel Broughton. The studio investigated the restaurant as a constructed environment through an emphasis on social roles and the design of objects. The resulting project, built by the team at full scale, had three distinct zones for communal dining, formal dining, and food preparation.
In addition to producing over fifteen tea glass sets and nine aprons, I also contributed my woodworking experience to the building of furniture and other objects. The studio culminated in a performance of the restaurant space including food and beverage service
