Hollywood Smocks, 2020-present

This ongoing project which includes the series Hollywood Smocks (2020), Color Smocks (2021) and Forgotten Films to Remember (2021-present), imagines an alternate classic Hollywood in which everything is the same as the classic Hollywood we know, except that single or multi-neck stretchy smocks were de rigeur. Color Smocks imagines what this hollywood might have looked like after the development of Three Strip Technicolor. Forgotten Films to Remember seeks to create an all-encompassing record of this forgotten era by adding smocks to every single photograph in a copy of John Springer's 1980 book, Forgotten Films to Remember, which is the source for all of the black and white print images in Hollywood Smocks. A few digital animations inserting smocks into classic Hollywood films are in progress.
