Color in the Material and Digital Worlds

A full semester class given in spring 2018 to graduate students, College of Environmental Design, University of California, Berkeley.

This class was my first opportunity to teach a full semester color course developed on my own material. While assignments were mostly based on Josef Albers's Interaction of Color, the class attempted to expand the scope of color inquiry to include technical and historical topics that might give a broader understanding of the practical and societal uses of color than those in Albers's class. The class also included digital techniques and history that was absent from Albers's class but are necessary in a 21st-Century context.
